Basic Instructional Technique Skill Improvement Training (PEKERTI)

Basic Instructional Technique Skills Improvement Training (PEKERTI) is a training activity that provides provision of academic competence for novice lecturers before going directly to face various kinds of student backgrounds. Different materials provided in this training include those related to learning, ranging from learning theory, teaching theory, learning methods, strategies, learning evaluation, and making learning sets and devices to practice (Micro teaching).


Following the Circular of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbud-Ristek) Number 1955/E4/KK.01.01/2021, the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) has been declared to meet the criteria as a Pekerti/AA training provider to fulfil the requirements for Educator Certification for Lecturers (Serdos). Based on the circular letter, UMM carried out the mandate by conducting PEKERTI Training for UMM Lecturers and PTN/PTS Lecturers throughout Indonesia. The UMM PEKERTI training was carried out online through the Zoom Meeting application system and has been divided into nine batches from September 2021 to October 2022. PEKERTI training participants consist of Faculty/School lecturers in the environment and several lecturers from partner universities.
